Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll keep an eye on their events. I would love an excuse to head out to Brookfield. Perhaps I can even get a Bohemian meal while I’m out there.

Morton Arboretum will have Ralph’s World and Justin Roberts this summer too…also a great Children’s Garden. Info on their web site.

P.S. Double check your Ravinia dates…they don’t match what I saw on their site for the Kids’ concerts: http://www.ravinia.org/generalpages/genericpage.aspx?&id=43&month=7&year=2007

Thanks Alex! I found the calendar for the Morton Arboretum and also fixed my wacky dates for Ravinia. It looks like that on July 14th, Ralph’s World is performing at Morton Arboretum, Justin Roberts is at Ravinia and the Old Town School of Music is having their Folk & Roots Festival that also includes great kid’s music. Decisions, decisions…

Be sure to add ScribbleMonster to Chicago area musicians! They be performing throughout Chicago this summer, I’m sure!

Jim Gill is another one that you should look for.

If you email me, I can send you a huge list I’ve compiled of kids’ shows in IL for this summer… it’s too much to post them here, I think.

    Hey Karen.

I’ve just been introduced to your blog. Just thought I’d reach out and say “Howdy”! We’re based in Cary and will be all over the great Chicagoland area all summer!! Please check out our dates…there are new ones being added almost daily.

    Hope to meet you!

    Gwyneth,

Thanks for the pointers! I’ve added Scribble Monster and Jim Gill to my list of local musicians. I’m still working on updating my calendar. There is just too much interesting stuff happening, especially now that it is starting to get warm.

    Hi Sheriff Jay!

Thanks for getting in touch. I’m still working on adding your dates to the event calendar, but I did add you to the list of musicians. I really enjoyed listening to your music on your website and I’m looking forward to seeing a concert.
